The "Best" Heroes

I mean it when I say that the primary thing to keep in mind is that all of the heroes have strengths and weakness. There is no universal "best" hero.

It comes down to personal preference and building a good team with all the types and useful battle skills for what you're focused on. But I know that's not what you want. So here goes. This is just my personal opinion.

Free Heroes
1. Rose Knight
2. Heroes with troop specific ATK & HP Battle Skills
• Demon Slayer - Infantry
• Snow Queen - Ranged
• Child of Light - Cavalry
3. Trickster
4. Bombin' Goblin
5. Prima Donna

Paid Heroes
1. Lore Weaver
2. Berserker
3. Songstress of the Sea
4. The Big Guy
5. Witch Doll

Rose Knight
Cavalry • STR (Strength)
She is the most ideal free hero offered in the game right now. She has high HP, healing capabilities, and at Rank 7, she has an Army ATK boost.

Stationed on Wall: Yes
Colosseum: Yes
Hero Stages: Yes
Monster Hunting: Not Recommended

Demon Slayer
Infantry • AGI (Agility)
For Infantry, he provides ATK and HP boosts. Oath Keeper also has these two Battle Skills; however, he's not as useful in the other categories in my opinion.
Can be Used
In Battle: Yes
Stationed on Wall: Yes
Colosseum: Yes
Hero Stages: Sometimes
Monster Hunting: Yes

Snow Queen
Ranged • INT (Intelligence)
She is a well rounded hero. She's got ATK and HP for Ranged and can also be used for other things. Tracker is my number two Ranged choice. Ideally, have them both.

Stationed on Wall: Yes
Colosseum: Sometimes
Hero Stages: Sometimes
Monster Hunting: Yes

Child of Light
Cavalry • STR (Strength)
Sure, he's a pink bunny. But don't be persuaded by his appearance. He's a really useful hero! Aside from having ATK and HP for Cavalry, his Hero Skills are awesome. He and Rose make a great front line in the Colosseum. With her healing ability and his protective bubble, they can sometimes replace the role of a healer. And in the Hero Stages, his AOE stun skill is seriously useful.

Trickster
Ranged • AGI (Agility)
His administrative battle skills are awesome. He's got a research boost and two hunting boosts. He's not a battle hero, but he makes up for it in other ways.
Can be Used
In Battle: NOT RECOMMENDED
Stationed on Wall: No
Colosseum: Yes
Hero Stages: Yes
Monster Hunting: Yes

Bombin' Goblin
Ranged • INT (Intelligence)
He and Rose Knight are the only free heroes that have an Army ATK boost. He's also an ideal choice to station on your wall. Aside from that, he's generally useful for other things too.
Can be Used
In Battle: Yes
Stationed on Wall: Highly Recommend
Colosseum: Sometimes
Hero Stages: Sometimes
Monster Hunting: Yes

Prima Donna
Siege • INT (Intelligence)
She's basically going to be your healer if your F2P. You'll usually always want a healer for hero stages and the Colosseum. Sea Squire offers healing capabilities too, but I find her to be more useful. She's got good battle skills for siege; however, siege rarely needs a boost and you definitely shouldn't station her on your wall.

Colosseum: Yes

Monster Hunting: Yes

Lore Weaver
Cavalry • INT (Intelligence)
Lore Weaver is basically my favorite hero. She's one of three paid heroes to offer full Army support with ATK, HP, and DEF. Even if your primary troop type isn't Cavalry, she's worth the investment in my opinion. She's a great healer. Unfortunately, it's a radial blast skill (directed circle) instead of a scatter skill (hits everyone no matter where they are), so Prima Donna has that over her, but Lore Weaver also has a second healing skill where a butterfly goes around and heros get some HP recovered. Plus when she dies, she sends HP to the remaining heros. She's awesome in battle and basically a core hero if you want to compete in the top ranks of the Colosseum.

Berserker
Infantry • STR (Strength)
She's also one of three paid heroes to offer full Army support with ATK, HP, and DEF. So, awesome in battle. Good in the Colosseum. Lore Weaver plus Berserker? Top 10 Colosseum material for sure. She is a tank. Lots of HP and her Hero Skills come in handy.

Songstress of the Sea
Ranged • INT (Intelligence)
She's also one of three paid heroes to offer full Army support with ATK, HP, and DEF. She's my least favorite of the three, but if you ask around I'm sure someone will give you just as gleaming a recommendation for her as I do for Lore Weaver.

The Big Guy
Infantry • STR (Strength)
He's the only pay hero that has a fixed price and is always available in the mall. The rest of the pay heros you need to wait for them to show up in the mall package cycle and you can spend $5 every time or drop several hundred and get them to gold all at once. So his advantage is that you can have a gold hero very early for not too much cash (relative to purchasing any other hero to gold at once) and his packs come with extra stuff. He's good for what he is: okay in the Colosseum, good in battle, helpful in the Hero stages, has a construction boost; but he's not a great paid hero in general and useless for hunting. He's on this list because he's amazing if you get him and gold right away. Very early on, he can seriously help with doing the hero stages, the Colosseum, and battles. Not so much later in the game.

Witch Doll
Cavalry • INT (Intelligence)
Witch Doll has the triple administrative speed Battle Skills: troop training speed, research speed, and construction speed. If you're finished with construction, Dark Follower offers troop training speed, research speed, and gold production. I just find her to be a better Colosseum choice so, to me, that makes her more valuable.

If your favorite hero didn't make my list, that doesn't mean they aren't good. In fact, ALL of the heroes are good in some way. Some are better for war, some for the Colosseum, some for monster hunting, some for their administrative Battle Skills. It's all about finding who does what you need them to do for the thing you're doing.

Darknest Rallies

T's Ultimate Darknest Rally Guide Victory over a Darknest isn't just about how many troops you send at it. It's about which troops and why. Sure, you might be able to beat it by just throwing a ton of troops at it, but you'll end up with more wounded than necessary. Why Do Darknest Rallies? It's basically free loot. Random, but you don't need to do much for it other than hold the rally correctly and heal some troops. Troops sent to a Darknest will never die unless you don't have room in your Infirmary. There are 5 grades of essence just like gear and heroes and... well, pretty much everything. The grade goes up with the Darknest levels. Level 1 nests give you common up through level 5 nests giving you legendary. Theoretically, the higher the essence, the better the loot. I say theoretically because sometimes you cook an epic one for 12 hours and still get something useless to you and other times you do a common one and get something you need

Heros: Types, Grades, Levels, & Ranks

There are four different types of characteristics that are important determining factors of various aspects of a hero. - Attribute type determines which basic attribute increases ATK. - Grade determines the boost percentage of the Battle Skills. - Level determines the amounts for the Hero Skill bonuses and the ability to equip Trophies. - Rank unlocks Battle and Hero Skills and Trophies affect the hero's statistics. For monster hunting, hero stages, and the Colosseum, heroes with a higher level and rank tend to be more important than heroes with a higher grade. Grade does also add to their statistics, so a higher grade is better than a lower grade, but in general, grade is not a huge factor for anything but their Battle Skill %. The opposite is also true. If you're looking at Battle Skills, a hero with a higher grade will be more effective than a hero at a higher level or rank. Rank does increase command, which will ultimately give you more troops and a hero with
