News Event: Cake and Presents Galore!

Time for a Celebration!

It's IGG's 12th birthday! I can't think of a better way to celebrate than with cake and apparently neither could IGG.

There are lots of events going on, but this is specifically about the News Event "Cake and Presents Galore!"

The event runs from June 6th until June 8th at 23:59 GMT-5. Log in every day, do a task, and claim prizes! If you get enough cake before the event ends, you'll get gems.

Darknest Rallies

T's Ultimate Darknest Rally Guide Victory over a Darknest isn't just about how many troops you send at it. It's about which troops and why. Sure, you might be able to beat it by just throwing a ton of troops at it, but you'll end up with more wounded than necessary. Why Do Darknest Rallies? It's basically free loot. Random, but you don't need to do much for it other than hold the rally correctly and heal some troops. Troops sent to a Darknest will never die unless you don't have room in your Infirmary. There are 5 grades of essence just like gear and heroes and... well, pretty much everything. The grade goes up with the Darknest levels. Level 1 nests give you common up through level 5 nests giving you legendary. Theoretically, the higher the essence, the better the loot. I say theoretically because sometimes you cook an epic one for 12 hours and still get something useless to you and other times you do a common one and get something you need...

The "Best" Heroes

I mean it when I say that the primary thing to keep in mind is that all of the heroes have strengths and weakness. There is no universal "best" hero. It comes down to personal preference and building a good team with all the types and useful battle skills for what you're focused on. But I know that's not what you want. So here goes. KvK

This is a recurring event that happens once your Kingdom is no longer under protection. There are a few different types of KvK, so you might find yourself against one Kingdom or two Kingdoms or a rotating set, but the general principle is the same: it's Kingdom verses Kingdom. You can do different tasks to earn points. You get individual points and rewards for completing your solo challenge. Your guild gets points and earns rewards for the rank earned. And the whole Kingdom as a team gets points. After KvK, gem lodes will appear. It is like a gathering tile, but you gather gems. The better the Kingdom does, the better the gem lodes are. Who's Who? During KvK, you'll notice a 4th color of castle names and resource tile flags. Usually there's the dark blue that represents your castle, the light blue that represents those in your guild, and the orange that represents all if the other guilds in your Kingdom.
